Covid-19 Information

I returned to face-to-face teaching in 2021 after nearly 18 months of working online only. I am delighted to be back! I have two lung conditions and, having spent several months of 2020 shielding, I am still very careful about covid safety.

These are the arrangements in place to keep us all as safe as possible during face-to-face tuition:

  • Masks I wear an FFP3 mask while working face-to-face and ask that students also wear a mask during lessons if they feel comfortable doing so.
  • Ventilation Tuition takes place with an external window open if practical. When working at my home I have an air purifier (with a HEPA filter) running during lessons.
  • Hands Sanitiser will be used before and during each session as required.
  • Testing I take lateral flow tests regularly, including on the morning of each day I teach face-to-face. I ask that students do the same.

With these arrangements in place we can relax and enjoy the maths without worrying about coronavirus!

Q. What if one of us is ill or needs to self-isolate?

A. If that happens, we can swap to working online for a while. (We might need to change the time of the lesson depending on circumstances.) If that isn’t possible or if you don’t want to work online, we would just pause tuition until after the self-isolation period.
