Before I had my tutor sessions with Rachel I never thought I'd be able to pass the numeracy professional skills test. Through the sessions I developed my confidence in numeracy, found quick ways to tackle questions and because Rachel never doubted my ability to pass I passed the test first time and I am now in a position where I can look forward to beginning my teacher training in September.
Megan, adult student (QTS Numeracy, Professional Skills Test). July 2017.
Adapts well to how you would like to be taught and how you learn. The lessons are always good fun!
Saffron, A-Level Maths student. June 2017.
I would recommend Rachel to anyone. She is able to give the child the confidence to do maths, and finds numerous methods to teach the child, to help them understand it, which builds their self-esteem and confidence with maths. She helped my daughter (16) with learning difficulties enough to do her GCSE.
She also helped my adult daughter to get through Maths to get into nursing college.
She is able to teach people of all ages and abilities.
Dione, mother of two students. June 2017
Our son, who has dyslexia, was initially very nervous about having a tutor. Rachel has a lovely quiet and reassuring manner, meaning he overcame his nerves very quickly and has really enjoyed her sessions.
Rachel's patience and understanding of maths meant she could tell when he wasn't secure on a topic and she would suggest an alternative method of learning it. His confidence and understanding of maths have both been greatly improved. Thank you Rachel.
Helen, mother of a GCSE student. June 2017
The sessions were always fully explained at my pace, guided by my requirements. Would definitely recommend; almost enjoyed it!
Jackie, adult student (GCSE Maths). June 2017.
I've enjoyed working with Rachel as she puts effort into the sessions and uses her own time to stay prepared and organised for the sessions.

You won't have made a mistake with Rachel!
Gabriel, GCSE student. June 2017
Rachel knew my abilities and the way I learnt best, and adapted teaching to fit this. Maths tuition really helped build my confidence in maths and meant I could answer questions which I previously wouldn't have even attempted.

Rachel makes Year 6 Maths for my daughter enjoyable, fun and practical. She uses various methods including games to explain Maths simply and visually. Would recommend.

Rachel is an excellent lecturer. My son is Autistic and his progress is outstanding both in his Maths and his social awareness. I have phoned Rachel several times when my son has been confused or stuck with his work and she has explained to me how to help him. She has also spoken to him on the phone, which is a fantastic achievement as he will not talk on the phone.
Jane, mother of an A2 student.
For many years I have struggled with Numeracy and have recently been diagnosed with dyspraxia and dyscalculia. Maths was terrifying to me until Rachel started to teach me but now I have improved vastly with it. I feel that with her approach to tutoring I stand a chance of finally passing my Numeracy exam.
Rachel is the most patient and supportive tutor I have ever known.
